Jr. QA Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- BS Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience as QA Analyst/Engineer
- Self-motivated and innovative with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented
- Understanding of quality assurance testing methodologies relative to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Good understanding of Web Applications/Web Services architecture, its specifics, potential vulnerabilities, and testing methodologies
- Competency in automated scripting
- Knowledge of performance, stress, or load testing practices and tools
- Demonstrated hands on experience writing complex SQL statements and Oracle Stored Procedures
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Some experience with Java, JavaScript, and XML a plus
- Good problem-solving aptitude and ability to learn
DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES:
- Unit, System, and Regression testing for software releases
- Performing stress testing, regression testing and testing for security compliance
- Working closely with developers to insure quality on each stage of Software Development Life cycle
- Investigate, research, and analyze defects
- Write test documents based on requirement specifications and design documents
- Effectively document test results

- Ability to work both independently and as a member of the engineering team
- Manage multiple concurrent activities, all with fluctuating deadlines, by working with other departments, both internal and external

- Must be able to quickly identify and resolve issues and concepts
- Must be able to make decisions immediately and discuss various perspectives and approaches rapidly
