Senior Flash Flex Developer & Software Engineer
The StatCom engineering team is looking for an experienced developer to provide user interface experience focused on Adobe’s Flex platform. This is a medium level position that encompasses some design and much hands-on implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on maintaining and enhancing the current Adobe Flash based user interface with the current application
- Work with the user interface engineering team to implement the user interface using Adobe Flex to create Flash Player-delivered Rich Internet Applications (RIAs)
- Work with the middle-tier engineering team to interface with the JAVA backend
- Rapidly prototype user interfaces of proposed features
- Participate in technical reviews and third party technology/tools
- Participate in business development efforts with customers, services group and partners
- Work with early adopters of RIA technology to design and implement the next-generation of Web Uls
- Enable continued adoption of emerging Adobe technologies (Flex) within a product development context
Skills/Qualifications
- We seek a highly motivated, creative and experienced UI developer to help us redefine what web based applications should be
- At least seven years software development experience, with at least four years experience designing and implementing complex UI’s or Internet applications
- Direct experience with Adobe Flash,Adobe Flex and ActionScript
- Solid understanding of Java server technologies and Internet technologies, including J2EE, Web services
- A strong understanding of building object-oriented, reusable solutions
- Experience in custom development and customer facing service delivery
- Strong experience with XML/XSLT
