Technical Project Manager
Under limited supervision, this role will manage and coordinate the technical aspects of the implementation of StatCom software including analysis of needs, project scope, schedules, resources, and client expectations for a favorable outcome for the client and StatCom. Provide direction to other team members in technical areas of a project for optimal resource allocation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for technical aspects of StatCom implementation projects
- Scope, plan and document the technical aspects of implementation projects (e.g., trip reports, technical configurations, technical status, etc.)
- Coordinate technical tasks and resources with client
- Ability to analyze the client’s business needs and map those to the technology and software StatCom provides
- Manage and execute StatCom’s implementation technical tasks including database setup and populate, application server components, advanced rules writing, client technical education, device interfaces, unit and Integration testing/acceptance, triage and resolve technical issues, provide go-live support, escalate issues appropriately, stay current with job related techniques and technologies
Skills/Qualifications
- 4+ years of technical project experience at an enterprise level in a healthcare environment, previous sales engineer is a plus
- System and business analyst skill set to apply operational healthcare workflows, and map an optimal outcome in the technology
- Experience in one or more of the following operating systems: Windows (2000, XP, 2003 Server), HPUX, AIX, Linux.
- Experience in SQL RDBMS environment (Oracle preferred)
- Preferable experience with XML and XPDL
- Experience in Web and multi-tier enterprise environments (RDBMS, TCP/IP, application servers, etc.)
- Strong ability and desire to learn and assimilate new technologies
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational skills with detail orientation and excellent communication skills
- Strong and creative problem solving skills including a calm, logical and systematic approach
- Strong understanding of software implementation process/life cycle.
- Working knowledge of procedural language programming (JavaScript preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team and in front of a client
- Experience with system interfaces (HL7, batch, etc.)
- Understanding of Crystal Reports XI
- Skill in the use of personal computers and standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Microsoft Project is a plus).
