Transformation Team

Delivering on our promise and ensuring continuing success of your patient management system project

Through process re-engineering and enabling software, StatCom's Hospital Operating SystemTM helps hospitals transform their operations to deliver efficient patient throughput, reduced ALOS, and physician, patient and staff satisfaction. Through dynamic team interaction and operational support, StatCom's Hospital Operations Transformation Team ensures the success of the transformation.

The key objective is to achieve operational efficiency across all hospital departments simultaneously. Operational discovery audits are conducted by a team of enterprise vice presidents, executive advisors, and transformation engineers. The operational discovery audit results are delivered as an executive summary report. When engaged, the collective expertise and experience of this team in hospital operations, health systems engineering, and performance improvement enables hospitals to optimally leverage current improvement efforts and resources - unleashing maximum throughput potential.

The services offered support your hospital from initial design through post support, for an orchestrated implementation experience. Our team works with all levels of management to provide a comprehensive selection of custom run and control charts, process graphs, and dashboards, configured to evaluate and support operations.

The StatCom Transformation Team incorporates:

  • Executive Dashboards - StatCom's patient manageament system integrates real-time and historical data into useable information for proactive decision-making. Provides departmental and executive level dashboards with reporting and analysis.
  • One Call Admission Center - Eliminates redundant admissions calls by coordinating inbound calls from different sources. StatCom's patient care technology defines and integrates the operations of a One-Call Admissions Center into the facility's current operational structure.
  • Care Coordination Center - Provides coordination between ancillary services, EVS, transport, and patient care providers. Centralized control center for bed management and patient flow allows you to align resources with a system-focus. StatCom's patient management system provides a comprehensive array of custom run and control charts, process graphs, and dashboards, configured to support and evaluate operations of the center.
  • Unit Care Management - On a single patient care technology screen, all clinicians can see patient location, discharge countdown, order status (ordered, scheduled, completed, resulted), patient itinerary, and bed status. Seamless integration with other systems means there is no duplicate data entry.
  • Hospitalist Manager - By providing prioritized rounding lists for each physician, rounding efforts are targeted at patients who will be discharged first. Facilitating discharges earlier in the rounding process frees beds for admissions, resulting in the elimination of the mid-day bed crunch.
  • Discharge Manager - Each hospital faces unique challenges with the discharge process resulting from internal process issues. StatCom's strategic services group will identify key processes and roadblocks and outline the full scope of the current state process. Then, working with front-line staff and management, the project team will develop and implement the future state.
  • Surgery Manager - Traditional OR software solutions focus primarily on scheduling and charging, but have a gap when it comes to patient flow. Accurate, data of where in each phase of care the patient is can significantly decrease phone traffic and improve coordination and patient handoffs. By defining key measurements and factors influencing physician and staff effectiveness StatCom's patient management system helps to redefine processes.
  • ED Manager - StatCom can help you leverage our ED module, or your own ED system, to its fullest efficiency and throughput. In addition, we will help you optimize the efficiency of the inpatient admissions process using StatCom's Visibility and Thruput components in conjunction with your ED system.
  • Operational Control Systems - Designed to help you utilize the best queuing, prioritization, and alerting algorithms for orchestration of optimal patient throughput across your hospital. Includes simulation modeling and analysis to account for flow variables that are unique to your hospital.
