Hospital-Based Emergency Care: At the Breaking Point

StatCom ED integrates with the Hospital Operating SystemTM solution for a complete enterprise solution. For many patients the hospital experience starts in the ED, and the care they receive here leaves a lasting impression. Emergency care providers are managing multiple resources and challenges. Emergency room management and patient care systems encompass numerous processes from scheduling diagnostic tests and obtaining laboratory results, to admitting patients and locating specialists.

StatCom ED provides a uniquely designed emergency department patient logistics application with the additional benefit of StatCom's system-wide Hospital Operating System solution capabilities. The emergency department has many of the same resource and patient dynamics seen in the inpatient environment with the added challenge of patient stays represented by minutes and hours rather than days and weeks.

Managing the rapidly changing care environment of the ED requires the simultaneous management capabilities StatCom has been designed to address. StatCom's Hospital Operating System enables hospitals to dramatically reduce inpatient admission backups, patient diversions, ED boarders and patients left without being seen (LWBS).

StatCom ED solves inefficient emergency department flow.
