Functional areas

  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic - Each department has a StatCom display of inpatient orders prioritized by the way each service area operates. Orders update automatically throughout the day.
  • Care Providers - Nursing can review the patient's schedule and pre-procedure requirements through the patient management software and notify service areas of any conflicts without phone calls. Nursing also has clear visibility to transport needs such as availability of a nurse transporter and/or current transport volumes so they can determine when a self-transport is necessary. 
  • Physicians - Patient throughput is optimized with physicians using sorted rounding reports targeted at reducing length of stay and improving physician efficiency while in-house. Comprehensive status information such as hospital census is provided to engage physicians to facilitate transfers and discharges.
  • Case Managers - Case Managers can target discharge times by predicting the length of stay starting at the admissions milestone. Milestone status, estimated patient schedules, and electronic service area boards all work together to ensure patients with potential discharge delays are immediately visible and manageable.
