StatCom Names New President and CEO
Raising Efficiency. Raising Capacity. Raising the Bar.
Healthcare’s Growing Need for Patient Flow Solution Leads to Fast Expansion,
Fresh Leadership for Software Company
June 20, 2005 (Atlanta) — Today StatCom announced that Eric Morgan has been named its new President and Chief Executive Officer by Richard L. Jackson, StatCom’s founder and former President and CEO. Mr. Jackson will now serve as Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Morgan formerly served as Executive Vice President of Lawson Software’s Healthcare Division. “StatCom answers the healthcare industry’s great need for technology to track and move patients through the hospital more efficiently, and I’m excited to have this opportunity to lead the company,” stated Mr. Morgan.
“Since StatCom’s inception in 2003, we’ve grown rapidly, with forty hospitals selecting our patient flow solution. StatCom’s mission to be the leading provider of patient flow software dictates that we have the best leadership. Eric Morgan’s innovative and highly motivated leadership style brings the final element StatCom needs for truly explosive growth,” stated Richard L. Jackson, StatCom’s Chairman of the Board and CEO of Jackson Healthcare Solutions.
StatCom’s Web-based patient flow software creates a common infrastructure and instant communication system across every hospital department to connect all processes, from patient arrival to discharge. It automatically triggers the next action in the patient care process while locating any resources needed for the case, thus “compressing” time between care events. With new Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards for improving patient flow, emergency department overcrowding, capacity problems, more consumer choices and other healthcare issues at the forefront, patient flow technology is becoming an increasingly important item on healthcare executives’ agendas.
StatCom clients include prestigious healthcare organizations such as Bassett Healthcare, serving eight counties in upstate New York; Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans; University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona; and Alegent Health, serving Iowa and Nebraska.
StatCom is a part of Jackson Healthcare Solutions, an Inc. 500 fastest-growing private company with more than $100 million in revenue. For more information, visit www.StatCom.com.
